In 1975, Donald and Patricia were married. Patricia was the perfect compliment with her captivating talent as a designer. Her ability to envision interior beauty and select majestic color themes along with her consulting skills with soon became a major asset in the success of the business. They joined forces with Bill Deal and Mike Salvadori and at that time were known as Deal & Prine Construction.

In the early 70's, Donald had purchased and developed a section of land, which became known as Mission Trails, Merced's first custom homes sub-division! The "Mission Trails" homes became known as "affordable luxury" and the "ultimate in fine workmanship". Don also developed the sub-division of "Whitegate Estates". These third-acre lots were revolutionary, in the fact that each lot was supplied by city water. Then in 1979, the land was purchased for what is now known as "Camelot". After 20 years of planning, Camelot became a reality in 1998 and offers a unique setting as well as Merced's first gated "Sub-Division". Currently, "Camelot" is now in Phase 2 of it's development.

Steve Demro became part of the team through a long time family friendship with the Prines. Steve comes from a family who's orgin was in Iowa and their trade was plastering and bricklaying. Steve and his father use to build a house together every summer, and his father also built every house they ever lived in. Steve also has a college degree in construction, along with years of experience which makes a great addition to the Prine team. For Steve, the tangability of the work is seeing the lasting impression of his work over the years...and the beauty in showing his kids the legacy he helped create as well as the memories! The satisfaction from the work is watching people turn a house that they built into a home. "Everlasting impressions" is how he likes to descibe it.
